Hey be careful using the sidewinder on the sc10. I don't know how they compare to the slash as far as weight but the reason that my first sidewinder failed was because I put it on my slash. The guys at castle said that it was not really meant for the slash because its too heavy the esc isn't meant to handle it. Just giving you a heads up to what they told me. Great buy though!

Just letting yall know what they told me when I had the sidewinder replaced. Maybe the difference is that mine was the 5700kv motor? Pup wound up with the new sidewinder I got for warrenty. They said that they overengineer the mamba max esc and it will handle more. The sidewinder is more of a sport esc meant for stadium trucks, buggys, and on road. Thats in castle creations words.

I run a nue motor forgot what tern... its a ????Kv lol.. I run it in my gfs wk with the esc i got from you sec1083 so far no issues Its also the 4x4 WK.. with slingers on it. but i'll be asking my friend at castle if the neu motor is to much for the SW in a SC10

Hey Dez what ESC was it that you had in your Aftershock you had for sale? I'm thinking of grabbin one of them if there cheaper then a Mamba

BTW thanks Dez and sec1083 for the info. I have heard around that the 5700 set up in the SC trucks were haveing esc issues as long with motor issues, but mainly dew to over heating, dew to over gearing the truck. Even with a stock set up the esc and motor would get to hot and "Melt down." Joe ford was the one who said that.. (works at castle) So it was said that the slashs gearing needed to be lowered before running a sidewinder set up on it, something like droping 2-4 teeth on the pinon gear and 2-5 on the spur (if i rember right) So i got no clue on the sc10, but i'll contact Joe to see what i need to do, or i may just ask him in person this spring when i go to olatha kansas to Castle. I plan on doing an interview and "web show" on castle. Then if things work out right, con Dez into a SC race lol.

Hey no prob on the info. Sharing on my experience.

I am actually going back to the vxl in my slash. Had my mamba max and 5700 motor on it and you really do have to gear them down to run on the slash. I was running 90 spur and 14 or 15 tooth on the pinion depending on the battery. I get more power and speed out of my vxl in my case anyways lol.

Hey I ll get in on that sc race! I've done some mods on my chassis and I want to see if its got anything on the sc10 now

thanks dez, i found that site last night around 4:20am.
you started the best help threads, but with all the junk chatter it was hard to fallow. some of there mods i personaly wont mess with doing. saw a lot on wheel mods, but never saw what anyone was doing to put 2.2 rims on there ride. with front and read hexs, other then the delrin set up, witch some were bashing on. i also cant post up cuz it runs on the same forum set up as rcc. my phone wont let me post on there do to it dosnt have the correct software.

I have a NIP set of rear Pro Line beadlocks for the SC10 I'll sell you Pup.

As for tires, stick w/ the stockers up front on most tracks. Out back, the Pro Line Calipers, Bow Ties, or the JConcepts Goosebumps are all good choices.

Just depends on the track surface your running.
